Welcome to 6acre farm!

After purchasing land in the early 2000s we made the move onto this property and started building 6 acre farm in 2017.  Starting with a small flock of chickens from a friend we were soon collecting animals and are home to cats, dogs, chickens, pigs and a small fibre flock of alpacas and Rambouillet sheep.

Managing pasture with compost, seed, water, poop (lots of poop!) and rotational grazing to keep our pastures naturally healthy so that our flock grow the softest fleece is how we spend much of our day. The remainder of our time is spent transforming sheep and alpaca fleece into beautifully soft spinning batts, yarn, roving and trying to convince our kids to join the family business.  (Kids if you are reading this…there is still time 😜)

All fibre is carefully selected, scoured, carded and spun by hand here at 6 acre farm in Grasmere BC.
